Ziya Meral


Ziya Meral is a Resident Fellow at the British Army’s think-tank the Centre for Historical Analysis and Conflict Research, and founder and Director of the Centre on Religion and Global Affairs – a research and policy in initiative based in London, Beirut and Accra. He is an expert on Turkish and Middle Eastern foreign policies, and issues of religion and violent conflict. He was a Fellow at the US Commission on International Religious Freedom in Washington DC (2010–11), and a human rights advocate focusing on religious freedom and religious minorities in the Middle East. He serves on the advisory panels and boards of various charities.
