Overview

The widening of the UK current account deficit to over five per cent of GDP has raised questions about its sustainability and its potential effect on future growth.  The speaker will discuss the UK’s current account in the context of the dynamics of the British economy and examine the wider international historical evidence on the relationship between current account imbalances and economic growth.

Attendance is strictly by invitation only. To enable as open a debate as possible, the question and answer session will be held under the Chatham House Rule.

This event is only open to Major Corporate Member and Partner organizations of Chatham House. To register for this event, please RSVP to Linda Bedford
