Chatham House’s base at 10 St James’s Square is a core part of its strength, enabling the institute to leverage the city’s status as the world’s first truly global capital.
In order to accommodate Chatham House’s recent growth and sustain its momentum, it is essential to enhance and expand the institute’s physical premises in the heart of London. This will allow the institute to meet the increased demands and requests for new analyses and ideas on international affairs.
The opportunity has been created to occupy additional space in the adjoining building, Ames House, on Duke of York Street allowing the institute to meet the increasing demands for new analyses and ideas on international affairs. As you may have seen during your recent visits to the institute, our expansion is well underway.
With your help, the Annual Fund aims to raise £100,000 by March 2017. This will:
- Renovate and expand our physical footprint into Ames House, the building adjoining Chatham House on Duke of York Street
- Provide much-needed new space in which to modernize facilities and increase technological capabilities, enabling us to broadcast events and grow our online content with better infographics, videos and other visuals.
- Secure additional space needed for future initiatives and research centres as Chatham House grows as an organization
All donations to the Annual Fund will enable Chatham House to secure and continue its role at the heart of the convening, debating and developing new ideas in the field of international affairs.
