Chatham House


With a Strategic Defence and Security Review due to be completed by autumn 2010, the International Security programme conducted a series of events on The Economics of UK Security and Defence Policy. The series was designed to inform the national debate and facilitate discussions which would contribute to the policy-making process.

This is a summary of an event at Chatham House in July 2010 which looked at the level and effect of efficiency savings and addressed questions of personnel, procurement and logistics. The summary gives an overview of the discussions and main themes examined during the debate, which was held under the Chatham House Rule.
