Chatham House

This is a summary of an event held at Chatham House on 16 March 2012.

Experts, parliamentarians and other policy makers from the UK and other countries discussed the relationship between the International Criminal Court (ICC) and the United Nations Security Council (UNSC). Addressing questions under the umbrella of the relationship between peace and justice, the discussion explored 'where next' for these two bodies: referrals of situations to the ICC by the Security Council, cooperation of states with the ICC, and the power of the Council to defer ICC proceedings.

This event was organized in association with the Parliamentarians for Global Action (PGA).
