Energy, Environment and Resources

Chatham House research on this theme focuses on energy security, the dynamics of oil and gas supply and demand, food and agriculture, forestry, resources governance, and extractive resources.

Projects in this area include work on illegal logging and the global food trade, the Moving Energy Initiative, which examines the provision of energy for refugees and the displaced, the New Petroleum Producers Discussion Group and the Fossil Fuels Expert Roundtable.

The major programmatic focus of this work for Chatham House is carried out by the Energy, Environment and Resources Department and its projects, and The Hoffmann Centre, headed up by Bernice Lee.
