International Security

Chatham House research on international peace and security tackles a wide range of areas, including UK and European defence, the humanitarian impact of nuclear weapons, internet governance and cyber security.

Projects include examining solutions for piracy in the Gulf of Guinea, strategies for maritime security, the intersection of cyber with space and nuclear security, internet governance, drugs and organized crime, terrorism, including Boko Haram in Nigeria, and counterterrorism.

A major programmatic focus of this work for Chatham House is carried out by the International Security Department and its projects.
