Arms Control

Chatham House work on arms control explores both nuclear arms control and the regulation of small scale arms through the Arms Trade Treaty.

This includes how arms control interacts with the defence industry, global development goals, international law and nuclear non-proliferation agreements.

Research also examines arms control through the prism of human security and includes significant academic work on a number of arms control initiatives.

A major programmatic focus of this work for Chatham House is carried out by the International Security Department and its projects.
