Dimitrios Cavouras

Biography

Dimitrios Cavouras is an academy associate at the Middle East and North Africa Programme. He is researching east Mediterranean energy resources as an international security guarantor at Chatham House. 

His research focuses on the eastern Mediterranean energy supplies to Europe and its role in promoting peace and regional conflict resolution. Prior to joining Chatham House, he worked as an adviser at the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (Library of Alexandria). He also managed the Euro-Mediterranean Civil Society Network at the Anna Lindh Foundation.


Dimitrios holds an MA in Mediterranean Studies from the University of Peloponnese and the Institute of International Relations (Panteion University of Athens), and a postgraduate diploma in Development Studies from Middlesex University. Since 2015, he has been a board member of the Greek Community of Alexandria Egypt.
