Academy Fellowships


Academy Asfari Fellowship

The Academy Asfari Fellowships are a joint initiative of Chatham House and the Asfari Foundation. The purpose of this fellowship is to offer potential and established leaders from the Middle East the opportunity to further develop their understanding, ideas and approaches on the most pressing challenges facing the Arab world.  Fellows will have the chance to advance their knowledge, develop research skills and build links with the policy, academic and other communities in the UK and more widely.

Academy Asia Senior Fellowship

The Academy Asia Senior Fellowship is open to established leaders and practitioners from Afghanistan, Australia, People’s Republic of China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Pakistan, and South Korea. The fellowship offers an opportunity to further develop an understanding of, and approaches to, addressing the political, economic and social issues facing Asia and the world. 

Academy Julius Fellowship

The Academy Julius Fellowship is designed for future leaders, researchers and policy makers from around the world with a strong interest in international economics and economic policy. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop further their understanding, ideas and approaches on the most pressing challenges facing the global economy, and to work closely with the International Economics team at Chatham House. 

Academy Robert Bosch Fellowship

Chatham House, in partnership with the Robert Bosch Stiftung, hosts fellows from among the countries of the Eastern Partnership and Russia. The fellowship is intended to provide an opportunity for the next generation of scholars from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine to advance their knowledge of post-Soviet politics, develop research skills, contribute to Chatham House research, and build links with policy and academic communities in the UK, Germany and the EU more broadly. 

Academy Stavros Niarchos Foundation Fellowship

The Academy Stavros Niarchos Foundation Fellowship is a joint initiative of Chatham House and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. The purpose of this fellowship is to offer young and promising leaders from Greece and the Greek diaspora the opportunity to develop their understanding, ideas and approaches on the most pressing challenges facing the world. The fellow will have the chance to advance their knowledge, develop research skills and build links with the policy, academic and other communities in the UK and more widely.

Academy Turkey Senior Fellowship

The Academy Turkey Senior Fellowship is a joint initiative of Chatham House and Akbank. The purpose of this fellowship is to offer an established leader from Turkey with the opportunity to develop their understanding, ideas and approaches on the most pressing challenges facing Turkey and the world. The fellow will have the chance to advance their knowledge, develop research skills and build links with the policy, academic and other communities in the UK and more widely.
