Biography
Ed is the Founder and CEO of Cale Street Partners (“CSP”), a real estate finance firm established in 2014, in partnership with the Kuwait Investment Office, the London branch of the Kuwait Investment Authority. Since inception, CSP has raised approximately $15bn and has provided innovative solutions to real estate investors in ten countries across nearly every major asset class.
Prior to founding CSP, Ed enjoyed a 23 year career at Goldman, Sachs & Co., in the United States and the United Kingdom, serving in a variety of leadership positions including Global Head of the Real Estate Principal Investment Area and Co-Head of European Merchant Bank.
Ed has served as a Global Governing Trustee of the Urban Land Institute and is a member of the Advisory Board of Bridges Fund Management and the Investment Committee of the Courtauld Institute.
Ed is also a member of President’s Roundtable at Princeton University and the University of Cambridge Land Economy Advisory Board. He is a past Board member of Harvard University’s Real Estate Academic Initiative and has lectured on international real estate at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. Ed graduated from Princeton University with honours in 1988.
