Biography

Hüseyin Arslan is Chairman of YDA Group, an internationally active conglomerate. Since 1993, he has led the Group’s evolution into a globally recognised platform.

Under his leadership, YDA Group has established a strong presence across Central Asia, the Middle East and Eastern Europe, and has been consistently ranked among the Engineering News Record (ENR) Top 250 International Contractors. 

Arslan is actively engaged in international business diplomacy and high-level policy dialogue. He served as Vice President of the Turkish Contractors Association for three consecutive terms (2014–2024) and as a Board Member of the National Privatization and PPP Centre of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (2017–2019), contributing to the kingdom’s economic transformation agenda.


Arslan has played an active role in strengthening Türkiye–Kazakhstan economic relations. In recognition of his contributions to bilateral cooperation, he was awarded the Order of Friendship (“Dostyq Ordeni”) by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

He has also contributed to international cooperation through his role as Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Muğla, Türkiye since 2015, for which he was awarded the Badge of Honour of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

Arslan has held governance and advisory roles in academic and civil society institutions. He is also Founder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the YDA Foundation, supporting education, social development, humanitarian programmes and inclusive growth through scholarship schemes and targeted initiatives for disadvantaged communities across Türkiye, Asia, the Middle East and Africa.

Arslan holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Civil Engineering from Middle East Technical University (METU).
