Jessica Cecil

Jessica is the founder and director of the Trusted News initiative, the leading global coalition of major tech companies and news organisations taking practical steps to counter disinformation. Jessica enjoyed a 30-year career at the BBC where she was Assistant Editor of Newsnight, chief of staff to four BBC Director Generals and gained a track record of varied documentary and programme making, and of building and leading global partnerships.

Jessica is experienced in strategy, delivery and project partnership and is a trustee of the University of Bristol, a non-executive director at Digital Catapult and sits on the Council of Advisors for RAND Europe.
