Johanna Tilkanen

Biography
Johanna Tilkanen is a programme manager at the Environment and Society Centre of Chatham House. Johanna provides operational support for the centre and oversees projects across themes including climate and energy policy, sustainable use of natural resources and the transition to an inclusive circular economy. She also manages a large multi-stakeholder project SWITCH, which focuses on accelerating an inclusive circular transition in developing countries.
Before joining Chatham House, she worked at Bioregional, a sustainability charity and social enterprise, managing projects on corporate sustainability strategy and organizational circular economy transition. She has also worked on innovations for sustainable agriculture at a small company in Finland.
Johanna holds an MSc in Environmental Technology, Global Environmental Change and Policy from Imperial College London and MSocSci in Contemporary History from the University of Turku.
