Biography
Sheila Khama is an experienced non-executive director of FTSE, Nasdaq, Saudi Stock Exchange and AXS listed companies.
Past and present directorships include ACWA Power, a Saudi Arabia energy and water producer, The Metals Company seabed mineral exploration entity on the NASDAQ and Tullow Oil, on FTSE.
Formerly, Sheila was CEO of De Beers Botswana and served as a non-executive director of several Group companies including the leading gem diamond producer, Debswana. Chairperson of the International Board of AMREF, a leading provider of primary health care.
She worked for the World Bank and African Development Bank’s mineral, oil and gas policy advisory divisions leading teams of experts advising governments in Africa, Latin America, and Central Asia.
Sheila is a mineral, oil, and gas policy advisor member of the Advisory Board of Columbia University Center on Sustainable Investments and an Associate Fellow of Chatham House.
