Biography
Turhan is a Programme Coordinator in the Environment and Society Centre. He coordinates events, publications and research projects, supports budget and grant processes, and helps ensure the Centre’s work on climate, resource governance and sustainability is delivered effectively.
Previously, Turhan worked at the Commonwealth Foundation, where he engaged with over 800 civil society organisations across the Commonwealth. He helped strengthen advocacy on climate justice, health equity and freedom of expression, and contributed to major global events such as the Commonwealth People’s Forum. He also contributed to the development of a climate finance scheme for Oxfam as part of his degree.
Turhan holds an MSc in International Development and Humanitarian Emergencies from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and a BA in Politics and International Studies from the University of Warwick.
