Biography
André Hoffmann, Vice Chairman of Roche Holding AG, is a leading advocate for business as a force for good, within planetary boundaries. He serves as Co-Chair of the World Economic Forum. Together with his wife Rosalie, he also co-chairs InTent, a platform dedicated to accelerating sustainable solutions through collaboration and innovation. André studied economics at the University of St. Gallen and holds an MBA from INSEAD.
He is the Chairman of Fondation Tour du Valat, Capitals Coalition, the Givaudan Foundation and a board member of Peace Parks Foundation. In keeping with his belief that sustainable business is the pre-requisite for a sustainable prosperity, he cocreated and sits on the boards of GIST Impact (which he chairs), SystemIQ, and Landbanking Group.
André Hoffmann also helped establish the Hoffmann Institute at INSEAD, where he chairs the Advisory Board, and the Hoffmann Centre for Global Sustainability at the Graduate Institute Geneva, advancing leadership and innovation in sustainability.
