Over the past ten years, artificial intelligence (AI) has transformed the ways in which we interact with and learn about the world around us.

With new waves of applications have come a growing awareness of the large-scale impacts of AI systems. But also recognition that new norms and approaches are needed to ensure responsible AI development. Steps have been taken by the AI community to acknowledge and address this insufficiency, including the adoption of ethics principles by researchers and technology companies.

To coincide with Google’s Search On ’22, Chatham House brings together an expert panel to reflect on the latest advances in AI, explores the factors that shaped current breakthroughs and considers responsible approaches to AI innovation for the future.

This research event is open to members. As with all Chatham House events, questions from the audience drive the conversation.
