How has Europe reacted to the economic effects of the war in Ukraine and what do recent developments in European economic governance mean for the future of financial stability across Europe?

At this hybrid roundtable, Rolf Strauch, chief economist and management board member at the European Stability Mechanism (ESM), gives his initial perspectives on the challenges and opportunities for European economic governance as the world enters a second year of war in Europe.

This is followed by an interactive discussion, chaired by Creon Butler, director of the Chatham House Global Economy and Finance programme.

This event will be held under Chatham House Rule.
