Sustainability Accelerator UnConference 2023

How can we accelerate towards a fair and sustainable future?

Event date and time: 15 September 2023 — 09:00 TO 17:30 BST

Event location: In person — Chatham House

Do you have ideas to solve some of the biggest long-term challenges? Are you underwhelmed by traditional conferences? Are you seeking a forum for participatory ideas and discussion?

Join Chatham House for the 2023 Sustainability Accelerator UnConference, to discuss how civil society and policymakers can accelerate towards a fair and sustainable future.

At traditional conferences, some of the best conversations happen in the corridors and the audience have just as many ideas as the panel. In Open Space events, participants manage their own agenda of parallel working sessions around a central theme. The Sustainability Accelerator Unconference aims to harness the collective power of all of its participants to bring new ideas to discussions on sustainability.

Topics to explore include:

  • What would a nature positive society look like?

  • How can we make the places we live more sustainable and circular?

Join for a chance to help shape ideas for a sustainable future.

Chaired by Ana Yang, audience ideas will drive the conversation.

Event format and who can attend

Workshops are practical sessions where participants can learn more about a subject through discussion or related activities, or feed into a developing research project.

Held at the institute, they are primarily invitation only events, but occasionally they are balloted with places available to those who register their interest.

By registering for this event, attendees agree to our code of conduct, ensuring a respectful, inclusive, and welcoming space for diverse perspectives and debate.
