Event recording

Experts discuss the significance of the US–India strategic partnership.

India’s presidency of the G20 in 2023 highlighted the country’s role as an emerging power with global ambitions. Under the Biden administration the US-India strategic partnership has also taken on greater significance, as the US and India have strengthened defence partnerships and increased cooperation through high-level meetings of the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue (Quad).

Questions to be discussed include:

  • What is the significance of the US-India relationship?
  • What are India’s aspirations at the global level?
  • What role does India play in the U.S.-India strategic partnership?

This event will be followed by a drinks reception at Chatham House.
