Research event
9 September 2020 — 2:00PM TO 3:30PM
Online

On 25 October 2020 Ukrainians will elect their local authorities. These are the first elections under the electoral code adopted in July 2020. All local council members will be elected from open party lists through proportional representation. Voting will also take place in many newly amalgamated communities, which were created as a result of decentralization. No elections will be held in Crimea and the occupied parts of Donbas.

This event will focus on key campaign issues and the new legal framework. The speakers will also analyze the internal and external risks to free and fair elections and the importance of this vote at the national level.
