Submissions are now open for 2024 Sustainability Accelerator microgrants. Up to 20 microgrants are available to innovative and creative thinkers for ideas that accelerate innovative policy solutions for a fair and sustainable future – for the environment and for people.

You do not need to be a Chatham House member to apply, but applicants must be based in the country where the initiative will take place.

The award is open to individuals aged over 18, charities and community organizations, but not to registered companies. We welcome applications from all backgrounds and geographies. Applications close on 15 April 2024.

Applicants need to fill in a short form, including a 1500-word summary completed in English and supporting documents where necessary. The summary should demonstrate how the idea could:

  • Help solve an existing sustainability issue
  • Accelerate progress towards sustainability targets
  • Reach or influence a wide audience

Ana Yang, Executive Director of the Sustainability Accelerator, said:

‘We would like to empower and bring together the thought leaders and changemakers of tomorrow who will have a crucial role in shaping a sustainable future.

‘Everyone can submit their idea, whether you’re an activist, changemaker, policymaker, disruptor or member of the public, we want to hear from you.’

To apply fill out the Sustainability Accelerator microgrants application form.
