Strategic Research and Analysis for the British Army

The International Security Programme partners with the British Army providing research and analysis on relevant topics that address the constantly evolving global security landscape.

For the past decade, the International Security Programme has partnered with the British Army to provide research and analysis on key security issues. As part of this collaboration, Chatham House produces policy papers, organizes briefings and hosts a CGS army fellow as part of the International Security Programme team.

Key objectives

  1. Inform innovation, research and experimentation leading to the refinement of the army’s Future Force design.
  2. Identify trends and outcomes through to 2040, contributing significantly to the design of the future force.

Key activities

  • Research and analysis through papers and briefings.
  • Placement of CGS army fellow in the International Security Programme.
