Dr Aniseh Bassiri Tabrizi

Biography

Based in Abu Dhabi, Aniseh provides political, security, and operational risk analysis for Control Risks on the Middle East, specializing in Iranian and Iraqi politics, geopolitics, and regional security.

With over a decade of experience in international relations and security in the Middle East, she has worked in academia, think tanks and consultancies, including NATO Defence College, the London School of Economics and Political Science and the European Council on Foreign Relations.


Prior to joining Control Risks, Aniseh worked at the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI), where she led the MENA programme.

She earned her PhD from the Department of War Studies, King’s College London and regularly contributes to international media outlets.
