Biography

Natasha Hall in an Associate Fellow with the Middle East and North Africa Programme at Chatham House. She is currently a Senior Associate with the Center for Strategic and International Studies and a Senior Advocate at Refugees International. She has two decades of experience in humanitarian crises and conflict zones, particularly in the Middle East. She has lived and worked in more than 15 countries across the Middle East, Africa, Asia, the South Caucasus, and Europe, focusing on security, governance, environmental security, displacement, and geopolitics.

Her work on the Middle East has involved collaborations with most leading think tanks as well as with the Shaikh Group, GIZ, CIVIC, and the US Government. At Mayday Rescue, she worked on civilian protection with the White Helmets in Syria. She is a regular commentator and written for most major media outlets including Bloomberg, Foreign Affairs, WSJ, CNN, BBC, The Washington Post, The New York Times, amongst others. She holds degrees from Georgetown University and the University of Virginia.
