Who is individual membership for?

If you’re curious about the world and want to engage more deeply with international affairs, Chatham House membership is for you. Join a community that brings together people from across government, business, academia, journalism and civil society, alongside students, early-career professionals and people from many other walks of life. Membership starts from £190 a year.

How to apply

1. Choose your membership 

  • Choose the appropriate membership type/concession: Full, Associate, Under-30 or Student. 

2. Complete your application 

  • Sign in or create an account when prompted;
  • Fill in all mandatory fields on the form, including a 150–250 word personal statement;
  • Applications take approximately 10 minutes. 

3. Check out and submit application 

  • Choose payment frequency: annual or quarterly;
  • Provide payment details (UK bank account holders can pay via Direct Debit).
