Online

As Africa accelerates its transition to renewable energy, scaling up deployment, securing sustainable financing, and ensuring inclusive collaboration remain key challenges. This event will serve as a platform to explore mechanisms for inclusive stakeholder engagement and financing that will foster partnerships that drive a sustainable and equitable energy transition in Africa.

Speakers will discuss:

  • What are the most significant challenges African nations face in accelerating their energy transition, and how can UK-Africa cooperation help address them?
  • What role can governments, international institutions and industries play in bridging gaps in resources, investments and technical capacity? (e.g., technical expertise, investments)?
  • How can energy transition minerals governance be effectively integrated into planning and development of sustainable energy systems?
