Iran–Israel war: The impact on Israel

Experts discuss domestic political, social, and security dynamics in Israel following the June Iran-Israel war.

Event date and time: 21 July 2025 — 14:00 TO 15:00 BST

Event location: Online

The 12-day war between Iran and Israel marked the most intense and prolonged military confrontation ever between the two states. Israel’s attacks on Iran were widely supported across the Israeli population, even as Iran retaliated and escalation continued.

During the conflict, Israel’s domestic grievances - including the war in Gaza, the remaining hostages, the disputed draft bill, and Netanyahu’s corruption trial - appeared side-lined. Following the implementation of a tenuous ceasefire on 24 June, questions remain as to the war’s impact on Israel’s domestic sphere.

In this webinar, a panel of experts will discuss how the June Iran-Israel war has influenced Israel’s political landscape, civil society and security.
