Webinar: Reinventing Meetings

Event date and time: 30 July 2020 — 17:00 TO 18:00 BST

Event location: Online

In the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, everyday working life has been radically disrupted and digital platforms have soared in popularity as individuals and workplaces alike seek to find new ways of meeting and collaborating. In early March, business apps were downloaded 62 million times worldwide, while travel restrictions saw estimated global airline emissions drop by a third.

As the coronavirus crisis eases, could demand for more interactive meeting platforms and collaboration tools spur increased innovation, reshaping the post-COVID-19 world of work? How might new working practices reshape our towns and cities and allow for lower carbon business operations? What are the challenges to new working and meeting practices?

At this event, a dynamic panel will highlight original ideas and technologies that could disrupt current patterns of meeting and working. Interacting with the panellists, participants will be invited to assess different ideas and explore how best to speed up and scale up their uptake.
