Broad consensus exists over the need for open climate data to mainstream climate science into investment decisions.

But with a multitude of different models and language for frameworks, disclosures and taxonomies, even those sitting with data often don’t have the capability or capacity to interpret it.

Rapid advancements in AI could disrupt industries that facilitate the capture, flow, and access of climate-related data.

As part of London Climate Action Week, Climate Arc and Chatham House joined forces to capture critical perspectives around this fast-moving frontier.

The event discussed how best to harness these new technologies to advance climate data mapping strategies, tools and approaches to unlocking capital flows, while considering the broader political and ethical implications of the AI age.

This event was being hosted as a part of London Climate Action Week 2023.
