Political visions for Palestine: Beyond the ceasefire and Trump's 'Board of Peace'

Panellists explore internal dynamics and political horizons for Palestine from local and regional perspectives.

Event date and time: 3 February 2026 — 13:15 TO 14:15 GMT

Event location: Online

In mid-January, the US administration declared the launch of Phase Two of the Gaza ceasefire and the inauguration of the “Board of Peace.” Meanwhile, Israeli strikes continue to kill people in Gaza amidst dire humanitarian conditions, and Hamas remains armed. In the Israeli-occupied West Bank, Palestinians continue to face extremist settler violence and settlement expansion.

This webinar will go beyond the immediate headlines surrounding the ceasefire and Trump’s ‘Board of Peace’ to explore internal dynamics and political horizons for Gaza – and for Palestine more broadly – from both local and regional perspectives.

Speakers will discuss pathways for future governance and security in Palestine, potential trajectories for Hamas and the Palestinian Authority, and emerging visions for Palestinian leadership and self-determination. Speakers will also address the realities on the ground and options for meaningful regional and international engagement.
