The Democratic Republic of Congo: Dream of a New Dawn

It has been so long since multi-party elections were held in the Democratic Republic of Congo few people alive today will have voted then. If the parliamentary and presidential elections go ahead at the end of April, it will be the first time in four decades – since April 1965 – that the Congolese will have a change to choose their own leaders. They hope the government lasts longer that on previous occasions and deals with their very real problems.
