Mobile Phones: Dialling Change

The internet is a critical tool in helping a billion people around the world ride the waves of change. Over the next few years cheap mobile devices providing affordable broadband access will reach several more billion. The mobile internet is still pretty immature and patchy, but there is a sea change in both the spread of internet enabled mobiles, and the growth and availability of content and information. Mobiles are set to provide the channel people living on low and intermittent incomes need, to empower them as they strive to navigate change.
