Eleven months after the Sri Lankan army crushed the Tamil Tiger rebels in controversial circumstances, the country is about to choose a new parliament, the second election this year. But far from ushering-in a reconciliation process, there is talk of authoritarianism, breaches of international law and abuse of state power.
