About the authors
Patrick Schröder is a senior research fellow in the Energy, Environment and Resources Programme at Chatham House, specializing in the global transition to an inclusive circular economy. His current research focuses on identifying collaborative opportunities between key countries to support the implementation of the SDGs, closing the investment gap, and building an evidence base for trade in the circular economy.
Manuel Albaladejo is the representative and director of the Regional Office of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) for Argentina, Chile, Uruguay and Paraguay. He is promoting the circular economy in the region through technical cooperation projects, development of roadmaps, regional forums and research.
Pía Alonso Ribas is a consultant at the PAGE Program (Uruguay and Argentina) for UNIDO’s Regional Office. Through her work, she provides critical technical insights and assistance to the public and private sector, seeking to accelerate the transition towards a circular economy in Uruguay, and the region.
Melissa MacEwen is programme manager of the Energy, Environment and Resources Programme at Chatham House, conducting research and analysis on the circular economy in developing countries, and managing delivery of resource governance and climate change related projects. She has a particular interest in the circular economy and Latin America having lived and worked in Colombia for a number of years.
Johanna Tilkanen is project manager of the Energy, Environment and Resources Programme at Chatham House, specializing in research and analysis on the global transition to an inclusive circular economy and managing delivery of projects related to resource governance and climate change.
