Biography

Robin is the Richard and Susan Hayden Academy Fellow with the UK in the World Programme. His current research focuses on reforms and policy interventions to improve the United Kingdom’s civil and societal resilience as a means of countering hybrid and sub-threshold security threats from hostile states.

The research is also informed by the increasing frequency of coterminous risks such as pandemics and climate-related events. Robin formerly worked as a senior aide to a frontbench Labour politician in the House of Commons, and prior to that as a policy adviser on resilience and civil contingencies at the UK Department for Transport.

He holds a BSc in Politics from the University of Southampton and an MPhil in International Relations and Politics from the University of Cambridge.
