In Conversation with Patrick Pouyanné, CEO, Total

Patrick Pouyanné talks to Evan Davis about the key challenges he faces as CEO of Total: a major energy conglomerate with operations in more than 130 countries.

Partner and major corporate event Recording
2 November 2017 — 6:00PM TO 7:00PM
Chatham House, London

How has the hydrocarbon sector innovated in response to the collapse of crude oil prices since their 2008 peak? In what ways are major energy companies - that are traditionally focused on oil and gas – adapting to the disruptive change in the energy sector brought about by renewable energy and the demand for lower carbon fuels? And, in a globalized world, whose development has been – and remains – powered largely by carbon-based fuels, why doesn’t the general public have a better perception of the oil and gas sector?

The Corporate Leaders Series provides an opportunity for business leaders to discuss political, economic and social issues they consider important to businesses working in an international context.

The event will be followed by a reception and is on the record.

Please note that this event will start at 6pm.
