Nuclear Weapons Control: Nuclear Addicts

At one time the idea of a whole new generation of nuclear weapons might have been unthinkable. But that is the policy being advocated in Washington and London at the very same moment Iran and North Korea are being urged to give up their nuclear aspirations. But as Hans Blix, the former chief United Nations weapons inspector for Iraq argues, there could be another way. The nuclear states could instead reduce their addiction to such weapons and encourage arms control and disarmament.
