The profusion of headlines and attention-grabbing stories may overstate the level of threat to the relationship, or they may miss slower-moving demographic, economic, and social changes that will have lasting effects. Meanwhile, new actors and middle powers could emerge to help buttress cohesion in the transatlantic space and help reform and reshape supporting institutions in this pivotal moment.

Drawing on the institute’s network of experts, this project examines key trends and themes in the transatlantic space that could support or hinder the future of the transatlantic relationship.

This project is supported by the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung’s United Kingdom and Ireland office.
