Webinar: The Role of Innovation in Building Robust Food Systems

Corporate members event Recording
3 September 2020 — 3:30PM TO 4:30PM
Online

COVID-19 has exposed the fragility of global food systems and the need for these to become more robust and sustainable to tackle future shocks and crises. The EU Farm to Fork strategy aims to address this by driving the transition to fair, healthy and environmentally friendly food systems.

This panel will discuss the EU Farm to Fork strategy, how its ambitions have opened up new opportunities for innovation and technology and the global agenda that should be pursued to ensure food security that delivers sufficient, accessible and nutritious food for all. How can we harness the power of innovation to create more resilient and robust food systems while remaining competitive? What novel technologies have the most potential to disrupt and transform the food sector e.g. Blockchain, AI, robotics, digitization? What does a food system fit-for-the-future look like?

This event is part of a fortnightly series of ‘Business in Focus’ webinars reflecting on the impact of COVID-19 on areas of particular professional interest for our corporate members and giving circles.
