Webinar

How should Western democracies respond to human rights violations, a weakened democracy and a questionable electoral process in Nicaragua?

This event will discuss the situation on the ground in Nicaragua and assess the appropriate response from Western democracies.

Event date and time: 15 November 2021 — 18:00 TO 19:30 GMT

Event location: Online

Nicaragua is having elections on the 7th of November. The minimum conditions for a free, fair and transparent election have not been met, and the whole process is likely to be fraudulent. Chatham House and the LSE School of Public Policy will be co-hosting a virtual panel  to discuss the situation on the ground in Nicaragua and appropriate response from Western democracies.

This event is hosted in partnership with the LSE School of Public Policy.
