Research focuses on global health systems, health governance and architecture, and development assistance for disease threats.

As part of the Sustainable Development Goals, United Nations member states have agreed to work toward worldwide universal health coverage by 2030. But there are huge challenges facing development assistance for health (DAH) following the economic downturn in many middle-income countries and the rise of non-communicable diseases.

The work considers issues such as effective and efficient data sharing across national boundaries to prevent the spread of disease, better collaboration globally on healthcare provision, and future priorities for global health.
