In this episode, Anna speaks to Tobias Ellwood, Chair of the UK’s House of Common’s Defence Committee, about the severe security challenges posed by climate change.

This episode is released on the day that the committee published a new report, ‘Defence and Climate Change’, outlining how UK defence can do much more to measure and reduce carbon emissions without eroding military capability.

The episode also discusses the recent Chatham House paper ‘Preparing NATO for climate-related security challenges’, which describes how climate change adaptation measures provide an opportunity for NATO to both strengthen operational resilience and adapt to the impacts of climate change.
