A conversation on the opportunities and the impacts that AI will have on the global arena.

Event date and time: 15 January 2024 — 12:00 TO 12:45 GMT

Event location: Hybrid — Chatham House and Online

Artificial Intelligence was undoubtedly one of the key developments of 2023, with this powerful technology having a huge impact across society.

Satya Nadella will join Sir Simon Fraser for a conversation on Microsoft’s vision for AI in the coming year, the ethical and practical considerations around its use, and how it’s already helping to address some of the world’s most pressing challenges—including, notably, the pace of scientific discovery.

This event will be subject to a ballot. You will receive notice by 13:00 on Friday 12 January if you have been successful in securing an in-person place.

This event will be followed by a reception in which lunch will be served. During this reception, representatives from Microsoft will provide an experiential demonstration of their AI tools.

As with all members events, questions from the audience drive the conversation.
