On 28 June France goes to the polls for a second round of local elections, delayed by the coronavirus crisis. Some think that President Macron might use the opportunity for a government reshuffle, and even to appoint a new prime minister.
At the same time, Macron is now more than halfway to another presidential election. Are his European ambitions going to help him win a second term? Or will he be forced to prioritize his domestic agenda to win back defectors to the far-left and far-right? And what might that mean for the Brexit negotiations?
