Our work examines the global security architecture, technological risks to security, and conflict prevention in a world characterized by geopolitical competition and rapid technological advancement against the background of a weakening of the rules-based international order.
We carry out independent, thought-leading research, bringing together diverse perspectives, and injecting new insights into the international arena. We use a multi-disciplinary approach in our analytical frameworks which includes resilience and human security. Our analysis contributes to international negotiations, regional security measures, and national security and defence decisions.
We draw on the experience of our expert staff, team of associate fellows, and work with partners based around the world. We produce accessible, innovative and inclusive events and publications, focusing on the most important international security issues of our time. Our work incorporates the Chatham House centenary goal of promoting peaceful and thriving societies.
