At a time when both the Indo-Pacific and Euro-Atlantic strategic environment are marked by degrading security conditions, this project brings together a community of European and Japanese policymakers and analysts to share perspectives on Indo-Pacific security and strengthen a multilateral policy dialogue.
Through convening, research and outreach, this multi-year project explores the major objectives, opportunities and constraints held by key European countries – particularly France and the United Kingdom – regarding Indo-Pacific security.
It also aims to develop practical insights and innovative recommendations for European and Japanese policymakers by proposing ways to jointly prepare for a range of possible scenarios on Indo-Pacific security over the next five to ten years.
This project is led by Alice Billon-Galland and Hans Kundnani.
The work is funded by the embassy of Japan in the United Kingdom.
