In the last few years, India has developed its digital economy through ‘Digital India’ and other initiatives.
These efforts have led to several positive socio-economic impacts. However, digitisation has also increased India’s vulnerability to cyberattacks.
Several initiatives aimed at improving cybersecurity have been launched in recent years. However, as India continues to invest in and work towards a smart India, more efforts needs to be exerted aimed at upgrading its cyber security capacities, at creating trust and security in the digital infrastructure.
This project aimed to increase cyber capacity and build cooperation in the field of cybersecurity between key Indian and British stakeholders from the private sector, academia and government.
The project was carried out through real-time, realistic cyber crisis simulations, which both build awareness and capacity by revealing flaws and unintended consequences in existing cybersecurity strategies and practices.
