Research on nuclear security examines the safety of nuclear weapons and nuclear energy as well as the strategic and political effects of nuclear weapons.

This includes a focus on the intersection between cyber security and nuclear safety as well as the humanitarian impact of nuclear weapons.

Our research also tackles nuclear arms control, including weapons of mass destruction free zones and the nuclear non-proliferation treaty. Negotiations over nuclear weapons, notably with Iran and North Korea, also form a key part of research in this area.
